We’ve added some extra milage to our classic navy suit for Summer by swapping out our striped & standard dress shirts for florals (and we couldn’t be happier about it). Opt for floral shirting based in dark rich tones that easily pair back to the suit and you’re golden.

We have to admit, as much as we love maintaining our 5 o’clock shadow, we love a fresh & close cut shave every now and then (especially to for summer…beard tan lines = no bueno) and even when sporting a solid scruffy look, its all about keeping the neck perfectly clean via razor cuts. Well, we’ve gotten our hands on a new toy and we can’t quite put it down. Meet the Remington XF8700, the latest in foil shaving gear that delivers the closest one-pass shave (no, really…it does)

What do we love so much about this guy? There’s no sacrificing comfort for closeness with the XF8700…aka it works with gel, foam, in the shower, out of the shower or as a traditional dry razor. Aside from the close shave, insane versatility and supercharged power, say goodbye to wondering when the hell your razor is going to run out of juice while at the gym or on the road. A digital display at the bottom of this little baby tells you exactly what percentage of charge you have left (its kind of genius).  Click here for more info on Remington razors or below to grab your own…trust us, you won’t regret it.

Sailor Style Reinvented

As the city humidity rolls in, we can finally concede that summer is upon us. And while we dream of weekends in the Hamptons, toned tummies and beer gardens galore, there is one trend that we think needs some addressing — or redressing.

The nautical trend is fine and dandy while you’re sailing the seven seas, but the fashionable fellas at Wingtip Jungle are determined to put a twist on this scalawag style.

In order to shake it up, we scoured the web for pieces that represent a non-traditional approach to your essential nautical pieces. A sweatshirt made of wetsuit material? We got it! An alternative to your Sperry boat shoes? Obviously.

Click through the gallery to discover how you can stand out among the sailor stripes and pastel pants.

Beating the heat during an NYC summer while looking put together is no easy task. Avoid the sweat marks and keep your casual look tonal by opting for short sleeve button downs, canvas sneakers and your favorite pair of distressed jeans. We love an easy canvas tote bag for weekend errands, flea market exploring, and just to hold all of our shit.

Beat the Heat: Short Sleeves With Style

Summer in the city. This mean’s early-release Fridays, rooftop bars and weekend getaways — it also means that the humidity is going to rise and the last thing you want to put on while getting ready in the morning is a three-piece suit. But don’t sweat it!

To keep your style looking fresh while keeping your cool (literally), we have rounded up some short-sleeve shirts and polos from a couple of our favorite e-tailers that are anything but basic. For a dressed up office-appropriate ensemble, pair them with chinos and linens. Or dress them down for a sportier vibe with some joggers and denim.

With the warmer weather comes the flood of wedding & special occasion invites. Tackle your look with lightweight suiting in seersucker, linen, and lightweight Italian fabrics. If you can’t tell, we love a denim dress shirt with our suits for a less formal approach to smart dressing. Keep your color story tight as we did with the blues, and allow for a fun pop of color in your tie of pocket square. Now go on, venture into warm weather wedding land…here’s to hoping you don’t get stuck at the table with the random cousins of cousins.
