Color Pop.

Dull winter mornings in Manhattan often call for a pop of color, we’re liking this citron beanie paired with a camel car coat and a thick checked flannel.

A’int Laurent. (but it’s damn close)

It’s no secret Heidi Slimane has turned the must-have dial up 100% for menswear since joining Saint Laurent last year…its also no secret Zara is feeling it, too. (the buttery YSL above was a knockout when we gave it a try in Paris)

Studio Style.

We were feeling this mix of moto, street & heritage today while styling a Summer 2014 look book in a Midtown Manhattan studio. (also loving David Beckham seen rocking this jacket last month in London) Photo courtesy of @DrewBourdet.

Wear your tech proud.

In addition to Robin Thicke & Miley, 2013 brought us another interesting, strangely cool, yet questionable moment – the battle of the fitness band. Geared to bring a bit of fashion to fitness, these sleek yet nerdy wrist wraps claim to track your daily steps, stairs climbed, calories eaten, and hours slept all through integration with your smartphone, all for around $150. If only it counted our instagram likes. Although we’re pretty picky about our man jewelry, we had to have one. Which one made the cut? Find out after the jump.
FitBit Force: We love the sleek, matte black, simple band and aesthetically we think its the winner. The small, inconspicuous screen features cool, blue numbers when lit and is the only of the 3 to feature a clock. If we’re leaving the Rolex at home for the day, we want to know what time it is. Not a wide range of colors to choose from. $129 / SHOP it now

JawboneUP: Without a visible screen to monitor stats, and no defined selection of sizes, we weren’t to thrilled with this guy. From a style point of view, we loved how thin this the UP was, and mixed nicely with the rest of our wrist wear. Cool colors available, too. Tech-wise, the UP is about equal to the Force for monitoring and sleep. $149 / SHOP it now

Nike Fuelband SE: The most sporty of the three, this is the best bet for the athlete in the group. We’re not going to lie, going to the gym a few times a week is as athletic as we get so we passed on the Fuelband. Love the range of colors and the available rose gold clasp is killer. $149 / SHOP it now

The clear winner for us? The FitBit FORCE. Sleek, understated, stylish and savvy.

Bags & lines get the BOOT.

One of the best things about heading to London is visiting mega-drugstore, Boots. Famous for their No.7 ladies skincare line, Boots also offers a stellar collection of mens products that pretty much kick ass. The four little guys above have become part of my daily care routine, and thanks to an exclusive US deal with Target, they can earn their keep in your medicine cabinet. From left to right:

No. 7 Energizing Facial Scrub: A heavy-duty debris remover. Notice fresher, smoother skin…great for a close shave.

No. 7 Energizing Supercharge: This is awesome. Work into skin after cleansing and wake up to fresher, brighter skin.

No. 7 Protect & Perfect Serum: A serum isn’t just for ladies. Apply this bad boy to trouble spots (eye & forehead wrinkles) before moisturizing. We’re noticing results in little as 2 weeks

No. 7 Rapid Revival Eye Roll-on: Get too happy at last night’s happy hour? You’re in good hands. Squeeze the tube and roll under eyes for a cooling, less puffy eye before heading to work.

Dover Street Market x Nike Blazers

Fresh off a trip to London, we were pumped to get into the newest outpost of UK fav, Dover Street Market last week. Now open in a peculiar spot on Lexington avenue in the 30’s, Dover Street NY offers a well edited assortment of standout pieces for men and women. We had to grab these wool & gold metallic NIKE Blazers before heading out into the cold. / 160 Lexington Avenue NYC / 646. 837.7750

Wrist Wrap.

Giving good wrist has become somewhat of a staple for guys in the fashion set. Call it what you like, ‘arm party’ ‘arm candy’, but whatever you dub it…we think showing a well selected collection of wrist wear finishes every outfit. We’ve complied a cool collection of wrist gear below, perfect for winter – cool colors with a mix of metals and textures. (hold off on the brighter, friendship colored threads until Spring.)

Street Ready Layers

Michelin Man, you are not. Keep a trim and street ready winter look by layering heavy fabrics in slim silhouettes.  A simple down vest atop an English wool sport coat provides killer warmth and is easy on the eyes. Opt for a thick selvedge jean on more brisk days. Items linked below…shop it boys.
