The Double Breasted Suit You Can Afford

Double Breasted Suit: How To Style It

The double breasted suit has made its’ way out of the 80’s and into the twenty-teens with slim fits and killer prices. This one from H&M is one of my recent fav purchases. I like to keep things simple and classic by styling it with a tassel loafer and slim sweater (in a festive pattern, of course). Try and keep things monochromatic by layering it with a tonal sweater and black loafers.

FRANK & OAK JAPANESE SELVEDGE POPOVER SHIRT / FRANK & OAK  LINCOLN TWILL PANT / GREATS BRAND SNEAKER / ROLEX MILGAUS WATCH / RAYBAN AVIATOR SUNGLASS

One of our go-to looks for Spring/Summer is the monochromatic look. We love navy on navy. However, when pulling off this look you’ll want to make sure to play with textures and fabrics to keep the look elevated and interesting (trust us, a navy t-shirt with navy cotton shorts is nothing impressive). We love this Japanese selvedge popover shirt from Frank & Oak paired back to a slim navy 5-pocket pant from the same collection. The dark, rich texture of the popover shirt adds just enough interest and depth to the top and is comfortable to boot. The pants are slightly lighter as to keep the overall outfit from looking like a jumpsuit. Stick to neutral accessories and shoes for the win.

We’re continuing to keep things clean and simple as NYFW chugs along. (NO, you will not see us standing outside of the shows in man capes and knee-high riding boots with wide brim hats begging to have our photo taken). Try layering up on the navy as the weather warms up a bit here on the East coast…it wont let you down.

What To Wear Now: End Of January

Screen Shot 2016-01-20 at 8.23.33 PM

It’s an awkward time of year. There are no holiday parties to dress festively for, temperatures are way too cold to wear half of the shit filling store shelves, we’re kind of grumpy. To make shopping and deciding what to wear a bit easier for the next month or so, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite and affordable pieces. Click on the hotspot next to each item to browse & shop…enjoy, fellas.

We’re going to need someone to pull us out of our monochromatic madness at some point in the near future. We say keep things simple for the New Year by opting for a little navy on navy action. Opt for rich calf leather when it comes to accessories and your look will stay elevated and on-point.

Since we have committed to giving our festive fair isles and plaids a rest for a bit, we’ve decided to keep things monochromatic with winter white. The key piece for this look: a kick-ass cream jean (not bright white). Pair it back to a chunky cream knit and use hits of brown to keep the look strong and masculine. Boom.

Oh No, We’re Going Grey…

We’re not exactly sure what is happening with us lately but we can not seem to get enough grey in our wardrobe. Overcoats, textured knits, denim jackets…the whole bit. Instead of letting all of our grey favorites sit alone in his closet, Preston decided to throw them all together for a monochromatic look of the moment. Try doing the same and pairing a grey monochromatic look from the waist up back to your favorite black skinny jeans and a tan suede high-top sneaker to keep things looking fresh.

Spring is finally here and we could not be one bit happier. As the weather warms up, we’re making sure to layer for sudden chills and sticking to our color palette of the season..rich tones of navy, maroon, and neutrals. We suggest keeping things mostly monochromatic with pops of rich jewel tones like teal and maroon.
